Unwritten Health Ltd today announced the production launch of Equity Engine MVP 2.0, a UK health-equity research platform that turns community-reported health experiences into evidence that health organisations can act on. The platform is in private beta with more than 3,500 users already on board, and brings bank-grade verification, automated reward fulfilment, and plain-English communications to community-led health research.
Equity Engine is designed to be the safest, simplest place for under-represented voices in the UK to be heard and properly counted in the evidence that shapes health policy. MVP 2.0 moves the platform from working prototype to production-ready: live in private beta, EU-resident hosting, custom domain, full TLS.
Every new account is now screened by an industry-grade fraud-defence stack. Bot defence, IP-based fraud-risk intelligence, two-stage email deliverability checks, privacy-respecting device fingerprinting, optional step-up phone verification (where numbers are stored only as one-way hashes), and academic credential checks for university researchers all run at signup. The platform applies the right level of friction based on signal, not by default, protecting partners and participants without making honest users jump hoops.
Participants who earn points by contributing to surveys can redeem for e-gift vouchers and receive them within seconds. The voucher inventory is encrypted at rest, with built-in safeguards against reward farming and step-up gates on first redemptions from higher-risk acquisition sources.
The Privacy Policy, the Terms of use, every transactional email and every page have been rewritten to a reading age of 12–13, with UK GDPR concepts explained in plain words. This matters most for the communities Equity Engine exists to serve.
Unwritten Health Ltd is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ZC109542). The Privacy Policy and Terms reflect the platform and the company as they are today.
"Health research has too often spoken about communities, not with them. Equity Engine MVP 2.0 is built to change that, with the same level of verification, security and clarity you'd expect from a banking app, because the communities we serve deserve nothing less. We're proud to be at the point where NHS bodies, charities, and academic partners can rely on what comes out of the platform."
